September Recap

Hello hello! Happy spooky season! I’m not into the super spooky stuff myself but I could for sure watch the Halloweentown franchise 1,000 times this month. September was a bit of a blur with a bit of art thrown in. Lets recap shall we?

I spent most of the month thinking about and working on my submission for a local art gallery’s “Small Town: Small Works” exhibition. I just couldn’t decide what I wanted to make or how to present it. I finally settled on 3 ideas: a small town square, peaches, and a single tree.

I was beyond thrilled when “Town Square” and “Peaches” were accepted for the exhibition! So if you are local be sure to check out the exhibit running at the Reeves Gallery in Woodstock!

I also worked on another Spoonflower challenge, the 2024 Calendar Wall Hanging Challenge. It’s hard to believe 2024 is just around the corner! Voting is still open for this challenge if you want to see all of the other entries and help me get my first top 100 placement! 😁

My 2024 Calendar Wall Hanging submission

October is a month full of art and drawing challenges all over social media. Last year I participated in Peachtober by Furry Little Peach. It was definitely a challenge but so much fun. I am going to attempt Peachtober again this year so I spent part of last month prepping. Making art nearly every day is definitely tough but its so satisfying to see all 31 pieces at the end of the month. So we will see how this goes!

That’s it for this update. Thank you so much for stopping by and supporting my work! See you in a few weeks!
